I lived in one of his properties for ten years, ten years of living hell.
The windows leaked, the electricity kept going off and not a single door in the house fitted. In winter it was like living in a fridge.
This thick farmer refused to do anything about any of the problems in this house.
Last year I changed jobs and my payday changed from the last working day of the month to the 15th day of the month. Why did I call this farmer thick?
This is where it all started to turn nasty. My rent was paid monthly on or about the second day of the month. It was rent in arrears for the previous month, so, providing I paid it in the moth it was due, it covered the previous month. thick farmer Bill thought that I was trying to fiddle him. I explained it to him, I drew pictures and even did an Excel spreadsheet for him that a 5th grader would have understood. This thick Bill the farmer was unable to understand it, neither was his even thicker foul mouther other half.
Then I wrote to him asking for the electricity to be sorted out as I believed that it was now in such a bad state, it was a serious fire risk.
Several times a day and every night the main RCCB fuse would trip and we lost all of our power. Thick Bill then sent his son-in-law round to sort out the problem. However he could not locate the fault and returned a couple of days later with a different RCCB. Different size, different make and replaced the original.
We now had all of the same problems, loss of electricity, flashing lights, smell of burning and guess what, the RCCB no longer trips. So the potential fire risk just doubled or quadrupled. We are now forced to sleep in shifts so that during the night, one of us is awake at all times.
Thick Bill wants us out and wants us out ASAP. We have tried to get out for safety reasons, the problem is, letting agents want a reference from the current thick uneducated landlord and he refuses to give an acceptable reference. So thicko is stuck with us and we are stuck in a fire trap! That said, we no longer pay thick as a brick Bill any rent and by the time we do get out he will be about £3,000.00 out of pocket. :o)
We will of course use the £3k + to take a nice holiday abroad, when we do eventually move. Thanks William.
In the third picture you can see how the lighting wiring has been done. You will note that none of the earth wires have been covered with the appropriate and legally required sleeving. Another example of the standard of work a Sellafield trained (his son-in-law) electrician is prepared to go, cut corners and put lives at risk to save his father-in-law a few pence.
Is this indicative of the standard of his work on Sellafield Nuclear Site? I can only suggest that Sellafield allow and condone this standard of work by their electricians both on and off site.
The electrician in question is one:
